Analog simulation was at first widely used in research,education and in high tech industries as analog computers represented the only effective simulatin tool.Later the analog part was extended with some logic components and finnaly combined with digital computer into real hybrid system.Nowadays analog and hybrid systems are rarely used due to the fact that they are expensive in comparison with modern digital equipment.However due to their flexibility,speed and illustrativeness they can be still successfully used also in education process,especially for the presentaion of the modelling and simulatin approach and for the designed control validation.  
Hybrid computer EAI-2000 is general purpose parallel processor which can be used in stand alone configuration or can be connected with digital computer via A/D and D/Aconverters into complete hybrid system.It has conceptually relatively modern structure including more or less up to date electronic circuits.The PC like work with computer is enabled excluding the needed wire connections on the program pannel.It can solve the system of nonlinear differential equations up to altogether seventeenth order realizing also some agorithmized optimisation and identification procedures.The system is used for research and sometimes educational purposes.
