Special sessions

New proposals are no more available!!!

For session organisers

Special sessions cover specific fields within the scope of the congress. They should consist of 5-6 papers with not more than two from the research group of the session organiser. The choice of authors and papers is up to the session organiser who is entirely responsible for the topics and also for the reviewing.

Organisation of special sessions tracks is also welcome (two or three sessions with not more than one third of papers from the research group of the organiser). Of course international structure of the sessions is preferable.

All papers proposed by the session organiser will be accepted for presentation and will be included in the congress proceedings. Moreover, these papers are also subject to the standard copyright regulations. Contributors to special sessions are treated as every participant in the congress what means that they are expected to pay the appropriate fee. However, the fees for the special session organisers will be reduced (app. 20%, in case a session has two or more organisers, the 20% reduction can be divided or is applicable to only one of them).

Potential special sessions organisers are kindly asked to send preliminary information about the session they intend to organise (topic, tentative title, number of papers and possibly preliminary authors list) as soon as possible to the programme chair who will send them the detailed information about the needed procedures. On the basis of your information we would like to announce your session as soon as possible helping you to find some additional candidates (see below examples of already announced sessions). The complete final list of authors and titles of all papers to be presented in special sessions is needed by May 15, 2007 at latest.

For authors in special sessions

If you would like to participate in a special session - see information bellow, please send the extended abstract or draft paper directly to the session organiser - take into account the deadlines proposed by the session organiser (see PDF file of particurlar session). However the final, camera ready paper must be sent via ConfTool system.

Best papers will be published by Elsevier in a special issue of the EUROSIM journal Simulation Modelling Practice and Theory (with science citation index).
