Congress venue

The Congress will be held in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering which is located in the southern part of Ljubljana and within walking distance of major hotels, shops, restaurants and main sights of the city. Public transport (busses) is also available.

Ljubljana is a lively industrial, commercial, administrative, and cultural centre with a population of 300,000, 55,000 of which are students. With its cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries, the picturesque Old Town on the banks of the Ljubljanica river is an increasingly popular tourist attraction. University of Ljubljana

How to reach us?
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering is located in the south-western part of the city, 2 km from the highway in the direction of Trieste. Nearby are other technical faculties and research institutions. The walking distance from the center to the faculty is 15-20 minutes (See the map of the city bellow).

From the bus/train station follow the "Trg Osvobodilne Fronte" towards west until you reach the crossroad with "Slovenska cesta". Go left at the crossroad. After about 100m you will reach the "Bavarski dvor" bus stop. Go to the right (western) side of the "Slovenska cesta". Bus #6 (direction "Dolgi most") will take you directly to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. A ride can be payed either by cash or by counter. You can obtain counters for the city bus at the "LPP" office at "Bavarski dvor". The Faculty of Electrical Engineering is located at the 5th bus stop after "Bavarski dvor".
If you arrive to Ljubljana from North-West (from "Kranj"), bus #1 (direction "Mestni log") stops at every bus stop on "Celovska cesta". This bus will also take you directly to the faculty.

How to get to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering by car

From any direction you must reach the Ljubljana city ring. Leave the ring at the exit Ljubljana-Zahod (Ljubljana-West, junction no. 35).  At the first traffic light turn right  to Tržaška street. After 1,8 km at 7th traffic light turn right (Jadranska ulica) and then at next traffic light after 200m turn left (Jamova cesta). After 200m (the first possibility), turn left to the area of Faculty of Electrical Engineering.  There is a ramp, ring at the entrance (be careful that you  ring to Fakulteta za elektrotehniko). Introduce yourself speaking in the microphone (mention that you are the EUROSIM participant) and receptor will open the ramp. Turn left immediately after the ramp and drive to the parking area. Map

There are places for those who will came with private cars. If you are interested for parking, please send the email to

with your name, type of the car and registered number of the car (if possible).

You have to ring at the entrance - in front of a ramp and the receptor will open the ramp if you will be on the list. After the ramp, please turn left.
